Quite clearly the fastest and most authentic way to impact Africa is to train African leaders to reach their own communities. Such leaders however, need specialised, on-field training. Joshua Leadership Missions College (JLMC) is a central part of the Joshua vision and takes proven leaders through eight 16-week modules to earn an international-level degree in Bible-based missions.
In Africa, for Africans, JLMC plants leaders to plant churches, impacting the nations and unreached peoples of the continent. From this, a leadership network is growing and spreading across Eastern and Central Africa.
Based on 17 acres just outside of Arusha, the College commenced in 1997 and trains leaders from most sectors of the Christian Church.
JLMC modules allow leaders to attend as they are able, and up to now:
- Several hundred leaders from six African nations have been trained, giving access into numerous localities, ministries and churches.
- Each module directly influences many thousands of people and hundreds of churches.
- Leaders travel to many parts of Africa, and to unreached people groups with the Gospel.
- The College is a launching pad for multiple ministries into the region.
Structure and Affiliations
JLMC is a leadership training college with its own campus devoted to the service of Christians from all denominations. Courses are approved through the New Covenant International University, but designed and implemented here for Africa.
