You don't have to look too far in Africa to see that there is enormous potential, but sadly this is mostly unrealised due to poor education, inadequate training and limited opportunities. Tanzania has one of the fastest growing populations, but is one of the world's most needy nations.

Here at Joshua we want to unlock that potential. We train leaders to impact communities, provide children with a quality education based on Christian principles, and empower the poor to escape the poverty trap through employment opportunities and training programmes.

These initiatives are becoming a reality under the directorship of Dr. Alan and Lynda Stephenson, who moved to Tanzania in 1988 to set up The Joshua Foundation. Today with a field team of over 50, we are beginning to see communities transformed and lives changed.


STRUCTURE

The Joshua Foundation is a Tanzania Registered Charitable Trust and it's constitution is non-denominational in nature and prohibits the commencement of any new denomination. It has its own registered board of national and foreign trustees.

The Joshua Foundation conducts no activities or business within Africa for personal profit. Any income derived from its divisions is re-invested into the organisation or into others of integrity within the field. To date, all personal incomes are by way of donation from a broad spectrum of "Western Churches".
